I'm greening up on Coyle and laying Holloway. I've no idea what that means, but bob says things like that all the time.

I really really hope it's Solsjkaer, he's a risk but the greatest potential reward.

I just said that I would not expect significant news on any managerial appointments early this week. *Maybe* later in the week...

So would you say then that Randy now knows who he wants?

I'm sure he does. At least I hope so. But will they want to take the job?

It's got to the stage, in my mind at least, that they really have to hire OGS otherwise I really believe it's a great opportunity for the club missed. To my mind, he's the stand-out candidate both in calibre and the practicalities of recruitment, so it's obvious to me really.

How come you never mentioned him a week ago then?

I wonder if we've had many unsolicited applications from managers we haven't actively approached.

Maybe he thought the board wouldn't be as creative?

Personally, I think it is a case of the club out thinking us and looking more left field than most of us have. I'm quite impressed, to be honest.

Well, funnily enough, I have more to do in my life than looking around the world for all the options available to us. Once it came to my attention, however, it became clear to me, at least, that he seems in many ways the ideal candidate. As many have said, I'm delighted the board are doing their jobs better than I am. That should be a given.

And, by the way, I never wanted Lambert like many do, so my record's clean on that.
