Molde are acting very strangely. Come on Randy just give Ole the job, we pretty much all want him and I think it could be an inspired appointment.

with a massive majority of posters in favour of OGS, including me.
it would be worth keeping this thread on speed dial for when in 6 months time we are all moaning like twats again if it all goes wrong,
i remember the same things were being said about N'Zogbia before he signed, but now its ' why did Mcleish buy him he's rubbish' queitly forgetting we were all crying out for his signature at the time.

hindsight is a great thing, we ought to have the names of those for and against so we can name and shame depending on how it all turns out

Agree totally, I'm personally willing to stick my head up and be on record to say that, if he signs, he'll go on to be one our most successful managers and will definitely bring trophies to the club.  His football ethos aligns perfectly with that of our youth and reserves which means a few key signings for the first team and then keeping the kids involved will put the squad in a much more stable place than it's been for the last couple of years.

Will be interesting to see what happens in terms of the coaching staff - and how players react to any changes we make (which could be badly). Could we bring in the two coaches, and keep Sid and Kevin too? Not sure

But I'm liking what I see in terms of the philosophy of the game.

He'll need serious investment to bring trophies, we are competing against a lot of good teams at the moment. What i think he will do though is at least steer us away from the lower reaches and play some decent football, if there is no money thats about the best we can hope for i'm afraid. If Randy does get the chequebook out again then i would feel fairly confident that we can compete with the Tottenham / Arsenal / Liverpool / Newcastle / Everton area 4th - 8th in the league and outside chance of a cup win.

Every club is in same position, there is no way anyone can keep up with the Man Ctiy's and Chelsea's, I include ManUre in that too, with the Glazers taking any profit they make to pay the bills they created they bought them. We can just hope any manager that comes in can get us to a European place at best.

What a horrible club they appear to be.

Small Molde Alliance
LIKE!  They remind me of the bitter porn dwarves, minus the cak beard and Russian hat.

Yeah, the way i think it'll go for next season will be bracket 1 - Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea any of which could win the league and bracket 2 - Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Newcastle, Everton competing for 4th place / europa / domestic cup, and if we spend some money with the right manager we could gatecrash that 2nd bracket. I don't think there is anyone else that could at the moment, QPR maybe in a few years when they are better established.

I disagree, I don't think there are a lot of good teams at all. Yes, of course there is the two Manchesters, Arsenal on their day, Spurs if they can keep hold of their players and Harry, Chelsea who are not as good as they were despite last night and then it tails off very quickly in my view. It's never been easier to make an impression on the league in my view if we can all pull together, install some confidence and start playing something akin to 21st century style football. Passing and moving would be a considerable improvement

Thats 5 good teams you mention, Newcastle have too many good players to be 1 season wonders, Liverpool have good players and money (they need to find the right manager) and Everton always prove the doubters wrong. All i'm saying is that OGS will be a good choice but we won't compete with those teams without investment as well. We have a shockingly shit squad at the moment, he can only polish that turd so much with better tactics and better management.

Nope, still don't agree! There's always 5 clubs up and around the top who are difficult to get in amongst but I think at least a couple of those could be quite vulnerable next season - namely Spurs and Chelsea. That's not to suggest we will be up at that level but beating these types of clubs may well be easier if things pan out. I took your suggestion of 'lots' to mean just that. Newcastle may well only be one season wonders and in my view, Liverpool don't have many good players at all and nor am I sure that they have that money to throw at buying anything above the level of what they have. The second half of your post would, however, be very difficult to argue with - though again an injection of confidence and a run of decent results can have an amazing effect in turning things around. You never know!

Yep, he may like his teams to pass but he's gonna get nowhere with most of that defence. They're incapble of it. I hope he's kept an eye on english football because if he takes the job with no money and doesn't realise how crap they are then he's gonna struggle
