Repeatedly saying that he is a 'League One standard manager' doesn't make it true.

It's like saying Mcleish was a prem standard manager last year because that's the league he opperated in.
Of in 20 years time he's still in league 1 then we can assume that's his natural level, but not now, we don't know what level he is, we might be about to find out

How many seasons had Moyes done in the Premier league? How many had Lambert and Rodgers before last season? OGS is very highly rated, has built a really young side, and has got good experience of working with youngsters.

As far as I can see, Lambert has not encouraged interest at all so far, apart from an aloof interview after our game there, which Norwich fans say is standard from him anyhow.

Seeing that Interview, he comes over as a very articulate and intelligent man.

Couldn't agree more. Impressed me greatly. Also seemed very honest - he didn't fudge any answers to to the questions.
All the attributes mentioned above applied to McLeish as well.

Nah, McLeish was a chancer and it showed.

Haha.... However if you say  something repeatedly it becomes perceived reality even if not true!

Like I said we have played this really well. Lambert would have been a great addition, and even though this might appear riskier it has captured all of our imaginations. Hope this is all wrapped up soon. What a fun summer this is going to be.

All our imaginations?  Speak for yourself  I would much prefer Paul  Lambert!

I'm genuinely exited at the prospect of either, which is in stark contrast to the last couple of times we were at this point.

Agree with you john, and grant went with mcleish on monday.

Grants gone now that is good news. I was in central london yesterday in a pub called The Salisbury. Drinking Thwaites Wainwright since you ask. I got talking to a group of Chelsea supporters and pointed out that we had already beaten Bayern Munich in a European Cup Final and thought they had a chance of winning. The bloke nearest to me said "It will go to penalties and Drogba will score the winner".......bloody hell!

A Norwegian business contact of mine, who is a Villa fan, and a sportsbook manager, so knows a fair bit about Scando football said this to me "If Solskjær signs I am 110% sure he will bring along Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Davy Claude Angan as well."

I've no idea who those two are.

The child in me doesn't care - I just want a Villa player called The Wolff!

Is this the same interview from yesterday as there appears to be more meat on the bones.
