it may not be just the press conference. There may have been an off the record briefing from somebody. I would love to know why SSN are being so definite about it.

He is still coming, I want to hear his team talks.

N'Zogbia, fortell meg hva faen gjør du her?
Gabby, din en villa mann gjennom og through.Start lek som Villa mann igjen.
Bent, hører jeg at du kan score tjue mål i en sesong. Gjør det!

Faulkner, får faen ut dette rommet. Jeg har ansvaret!

Oh, darn. Very rarely a forum posting provokes a ROFL in this house. Well done, sir. :D  ;D ;D

The BBC are too.

I can't imagine they would rule it out so utterly unless they'd been tipped that it was a dead duck.

If true, it's a balls up.  OGS wouldn't fly in for talks unless he wanted the job and Villa wouldn't fly him in unless they were serious, which makes it all the more bizarre.

SSN are quoting him as saying;

"I have 2 years left on my contract and I'll stand by that."

NRK Sport:
Football expert Lars Tjærnås believes Solskjaer would jump ship after the way Aker and Molde handled his trip to England:

"My interpretation of the press conference today is that Solskjaer is tempted by Aston Villa. It is not surprising, for it is the right club at the right time..."

"What is surprising is that Molde Football Club, as I see it, has made it more tempting for him to go with the reactions for both club and Røkke (Aker) has had in the aftermath".

Gompy! You can help here - is there the suggestion in the Norwegian media that this press conference means OGS isn't coming?

I hope he's bloody right. This whole situation is very confusing.

"In football, and in life in general, things turn up that you have to make decisions about. I have a contract for two more years and I'll stand by that."

Take heart. It's caused a storm back home, but what more can he do/say now. But he'd be temped.

Quotes from the press conference:

"It's up to Aston Villa if there's going to be any more. I
have only spoken to them, and I would expect that they will be
talking to others.

"If they contact me I'll have to make a decision, but it's
not like there's a private plane standing waiting."

No way has he turned us down on the basis of that. I've read a proper translation of what was said today and it is clear he is interested.

Can't believe you can have such good prices on him now. I just had another 20 quid at 6/1

With events of tha last 24 hours I now think he is more likely to get the job rather than less.

If you can get that sort of price, my advice is to take it.

SSN and BBC have definitely jumped the gun here. They've got an article with nothing but a couple of half-quotes that say nothing. We haven't offered OGS the job yet and he hasn't ruled himself out.

I'm putting a rather large sum on 7-1. Probably the last chance before he's offered the job.

This thread is already more exciting than the last four Villa matches.
