There's an element of risk with ALL managers.  Lambert and Rodgers could turn out to find things as difficult as Coyle has this season, and this time next year we could be grateful for dodging a bullet.  The thing with OGS is that he had 10 years of being managed by the very best there's been in the modern era.  Hopefully some of that has rubbed off on him.

I need a don't know option. I've got my reservations about it but i'm bloody intrigued at the same time.

He could be the next Venglos, the next Mourinho, or somewhere inbetween.  I think he'll do well, and bring a much needed breath of fresh air to the place.  If he's appointed, I'll be buying my season ticket next week.

You're not local are you Risso?

Not exactly, no.  But I hope to make it to a few more games next season.

A very cautious, although slightly optimistic 'Yes'. We need a forward thinking manager who can stick with us for a good few years and build a good footballing philosophy into the club, if that man is OGS then so be it.

What does that mean?

It's growing on me.

I'd now be very happy with OGS (probably slightly happier with Lambert). It'd be a bold move and you'd feel like we had a winner in charge who was involved in a long-term project to bring us success.

Well, not that long term.  If he's a success he'll be offski pretty sharpish to fill Fergie's slippers.

Yes from me, and the board have stuck to their word with the promise of a 'Young, vibrant manager'

Too early to dust off the Bright Future bit? Feels good, though.

The experience thing doesn't bother me, Mcleish had plenty of experience and was dreadful. I'd like someone who's a gamble with fresh ideas and very evidently likes his team to play football. Get him in, ship out some of our trouble makers and bring in some footballers. It could be brilliant, it might not work, but I'm prepared to take a gamble for some excitement after the drudgery.

Sounds like Dave's trying to tell us he isn't wearing any underpants...
