A coutious yes from me.  I would really like Lambert, but if he has said no then I am more than happy with OGS.  It would be interesting if he bought Laursen in to his team, but the only reason I am thinking this is because they are both Scandinavian!

I hope we sign him.

I'm glad we're even trying.

Holt, Nursey, Whelan, Holloway, Baggie Bill Howell: fuck off. You can't put Aston Villa in a pigeonhole.

I really hope this comes off
It feels to me like theres a spark of excitement with this possibility, yes it could go tits up.... but so could Guardiola or any other manager you can name.
I hope its a ride that involves more ups than downs, that gets people wanting to go to VP because the football is more attacking and more exciting than the sheer dross weve had to put up with for the last few seasons

Could this be another fine mess he's got us into?

I don't think so, this shows that when they said vibrant they meant it. Solksjaer was a great player who's learnt from the best; his short managerial career has been good and I reckon he's worth a punt.

If it didn't work out we couldn't blame the board for playing safe and if it does he'd leave with our blessing (if one of the very big clubs came after him).

I also like to think he'd be able to attract some half decent players to the club too.

Fingers crossed.

So Molde have confirmed our interest, said they're willing to negotiate, and Lerner's plane is on it's way back?

Sounds done.

Of all the ex-Fergalites in management now. OGS is the one with the least amount of ego, the most level temperament, and actually the one who comes across as the most considered and intilligent. The most notable others were all quite aggressive players, blood and thunder and never really managed to adopt the sort of passing football that Utd played and we'd crave. A bunch of hoofers in truth.

None of them will ever get Fergies job, but OGS might well do.

This excites me in any case. It'll add some mystery, because lets face it, with McLeish we knew exactly what was coming.

Not saying it's true but I read Klinsmann advised Lerner that OGS was the best up and coming coach in world football.

seems a great fit for us , elsewhere breaking news that brendan rodgers has turned down chance to talk with liverpool and said he wants to stay at swansea.

80% in favour, thats incredible,  me to

but it does show that all the arguments for and against other managers like
Rogers - 1st year proves nothing, Failed at Reading
Lambert - MON mini me, plays to direct, not a track suit coach
Martinez - team only plays last 2 months of the season, always battling relegation
Di Mateo - sacked from WBA

all the arguments are a heap load of shit when it comes down to it,
its all about a feeling, a hunch, OGS is coming from a league worse than the Scottish prem, yet 80% of us are willing to overlook all the other faults we have found in the other managers we dont have a 'good feeling' for and lump on Ole.

i to have a good feeling about the lad, i think its worth a go, its an exciting prospect, but the reason is because it just feels right, there is not a lot else to back it up, but hey, i'm a gambler by nature

I very much doubt he'll will be back anytime soon, especially as he has an incredible battle on his hands.
