Gotta be sacked surely... come on i've got £20 at 5/1 from a while back! Come on Randy, make my day! If it happens I might even put it toward a new season ticket! You know it makes sense.... time to dispatch him from whence he came!

Well, the game was a microcosm of our season: shite! The set-up lacked guts, the players were lethargic, the defending comical at times. The substitutions were baffling (taking off Herd; not bringing on Carruthers; leaving Emule on) and the lack of vibrancy from McL and his sidekick indicates that he has got the bullet.

His record is simply awful: at the risk of repeating myself, here are the stark facts:
- Win ratio of 18.5% for the EPL season.
- Highest number of draws in the division: 33% more than the next team (Sunderland).
 - Lowest number of goals-scored in the bottom 6 clubs (and only surpassed by Stoke in the whole division).
- Worst record in the league for losing from winning positions – 22 points lost.
- Conceded more from set pieces than any other team.
- The only EPL team not to score from a corner all season.
- Villa's worst-ever league home record.
- VP crowds down by 9% this season.

Please share these facts with everyone as often as you can: the wider football world needs to know how bad things have been!

Other than that, thank God it's all over.

Snippets from his WM interview:

"but for 3 minutes I would've been Small Heaths best ever manager"

"I can turn things (and the fans) around with better quality"

"I can get players to play the Alex McCleish way"

Away you go everyone.

And I'm not making the last one up

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish: "It was an absolutely shocking, woeful display. Maybe some of the boys were thinking about their holidays already.

"That team needs a change and there will be change. That wasn't an Alex McLeish team today. We need to bring more quality into the squad.

"I take (the fans' booing) on my shoulders for the sake of the players, I agree with the fans' frustration about our display.

"I'm expecting the board to back me. I have no reason to think I won't be (Villa manager next season). We've got through a really tough season. I've won lots of trophies as a player and manager and I haven't turned into a bad manager overnight."

He didn't do that badly. We were effectively safe with one game to spare. Last season, we weren't really safe much earlier. Houllier had Downing and Young. McLeish didn't. I don't want him to be manager of Aston Villa, but he didn't do much worse than Houllier!

thats made me feel better about him .

"He didn't do much worse than Houllier"

That's really the best thing you can say about him isn't it?

This has been the worst season ever.  Thank God there are three clubs who are even worse than us, no thanks to this ****** of a Manager.  His position is indefensible.  If Randy and Fuckner keep him, then they clearly do not care enough about US, the fans.

Good to know Pablo. We were effectively a team just two games away from the drop last season, so to take the two best players away from that team was always going to be tough.

Utter tripe.

McLeish has officially the joint worst win record for a manager in the history of the club.  The stats speak for themselves

-worst home record ever
-the least points in the 20years since the game sold its soul
-less that a goal a game despite having one of the most potent strikers in the country for well over half of the season
-No goals from set pieces and conceded more from set pieces than any other side

Aside form the stats the constant blaming of the kids for his failings has driven me mad, as has the fawning over numerous teams during the season as if we should have been prepared for a kicking and not expected anything else, silly naive fans.

I can't believe he believes the bollocks he comes out with. You should do the honourable thing but of course you won't. Spineless like your teams.

If this happens then the board deserve everything they get. Which will be crowds around 24000 and relegation.
