it's bad, yes. Houllier didn't do much better with Young and Downing, that's all I'm trying to say.
How bad does someone have to be to play such a team devoid of any attacking threat? Warnock, Herd and Clark in midfield. Cueller as fullback. Lichaj playing on the left, which he doesn't look right at (he's not good enough any how). Heskey up front is pretty much a defensive choice too.Worse still, 81 minutes, we have Carruthers and N'Zogbia on the bench who could come on to provide width. What does he do? Bring on Baker!! That's one of the most moronic decisions in the history of football. The games pretty much lost. Why make a defensive change to sure things up??
Verging?
9th, 16th, only because of what the two Macs did before and after him!!!
Was he daring the club to sack him I wonder?
Quote from: Irish villain on May 13, 2012, 08:26:41 PMWas he daring the club to sack him I wonder?Exactly! After Bolton it was "I'm not thinking about the end of the season, I just want to make sure we've stayed up."Now that he HAS thought about it, he knows that if the club want to sack him, they've got to pay off his contract at £5m. All of his interviews of the last few days have basically been saying "if you want me out, you have to sack me!" whereas post-Bolton, I imagine that Lerner was hoping that McLeish would agree his position was untenable, and settle for a bit less.
