I don't know if anyone has suggested this. Is it possible the players were trying to ensure he got the sack?

Paul Franks hinted at this earlier on, the body language of many of them in the last few weeks certainly suggests an utter lack of faith.

They surely can't enjoy playing this way.

I spent half an hour of the second half enjoying my pint and singing underneath the stand with about twk or three hundred other fans.

I have never, ever seen a Villa side as bad as that. The ****** had the nerve to clap us at then end too. Cheeky bastard.

They certainly weren't trying to impress Paul Lambert.

Mcleish has been more direct in his criticism of the players in recent weeks and it seems obvious that he has no respect at all with the players.

That's because he's been running out of excuses.

Players all talk. They will all have heard and read him comments in recent weeks. As much as some of them are wankers and need to be sold, they'll be wanting him out also.

Well thank god that thoroughly depressing season is over. I thought we might at least get a point today but I should have known better I suppose. I really do hope and pray that we now have a change of manager and quickly, as I can't bear to watch the life being strangled out of our club any more.

Nathan D must be thinking about putting in a transfer request after watching Emile play 90 mins with him on the bench

He'll be lucky if he gets the privilege. His last decent game for us was against Blackpool at home last season, so that's what? November 2010?

disgraceful, I hope Lerner goes aswell .  Just the idea that they really believed Mcleish could be the next step forward for Aston Villa really shows that they know fck all about our game. Stick to touch downs.
