We're another year closer to actually winning the FA Cup.

The NexGen games were really very good and showed us the promise of things to come, hopefully.

The first team did actually improve toward achieving the managers expectations, earlier in the season we played dull, unadventurous football and kept getting beaten, toward the end it was the same but we got the required draws.

Yeah we certainly hardened up and ,as has been mentioned, we slowly got better at dealing with corners, not that it should've been rocket science to start with.

I wonder how much the Petrov illness galvanised the fighting spirit of the players more than AML's motivational skills.  I think it galzanised the support base at the right time and probably spared AML for a couple of weeks longer before the Bolton 85th minute chants.

The only positive thing that could happen is Mc Shit gets the sack or catches soe deadly incuraable desease and does villa a favour.

I think you should go and have a sit on the naughty step and calm down.

I agree that we did, at times, play some attractive approach football  (thank you Mr Ireland) - but our passing in the final third left (so often) something to be desired.....

I wonder how they might play against Norwich without the threat of relegation over them...

As someone else mentioned one of the positives was not conceding from about 2 dozen corners and similar type free kicks. One thing I noticed yesterday was Given coming out and making some clean catches. When a GK does that it helps the defence to be more stable.

All the people who were hoping that we would go down were wrong.

Yes, I remember legions of us crossing their fingers and hoping for a spell in the lower leagues.

Whilst we were making our way out of the ground yesterday, my mate got talking to some chap who said that it would have been best if we'd gone down.

There were a fair few saying we deserved it on here, Paulie. And how it could do us good, a standpoint I just don't understand, rebuild by all means, but its better to do it whilst still in the Prem.

Saying we deserved it is one thing, I remember plenty saying that, but I struggle to remember "all those people" who actually wanted us to get relegated.

There was definitely a number of posters on here, and a few friends of mine, who were talking up how going down would be a good thing.
