Average - 33,873

Our ground capacity is 42,786 so the stadium has been only 79% full this season.

Not a single sell-out all season.

Lowest crowds for 11 years.

2011/12 - 33,873
2010/11 - 37,194
2009/10 - 38,573
2008/09 - 39,812

Surely the board has no choice but to get rid of McLeish now purely from a financial point of view?

Does that 2000-1 take in the rebuilding of the Trinity?

I'm pretty non-plussed to see the attendances lower than the last season of O'Dreary.

I've been saying the same. How can they keep a person employed who is having a direct effect on the poor attendances which means the club is losing money? If someone is losing money for your buisness you get rid of them because from an economic standpoint its suicidal keeping someone who is having a detrimental effect on your buisness.

Presumably Villa employ market researchers just like any other business. I'd like to hear the report: "...and 76% of people won't be renewing their season tickets because they think the manager is a useless c***."

Exactly. I'm surprised we haven't seen a few sub 30k crowds although the club counting tickets sold as opposed to actual people in the ground probably stops that.

It must be something about us Handsworth Woodians; I had just worked out the average for this season and compared to recent previous seasons, only to see that you've beaten me to it. I do have the excuse that I've had to travel back from the match, after dropping elder son in Brum, and then going to see mum in H.W.

Anyway, I think the most striking statistic is that we've lost 15.4% on our average attendance in just four seasons - that's nearly one in six - at the same time losing 116,960 from our aggregate league attendances. As previous posters, and The Stranglers, have said, Something Better Change, because this just isn't good enough.

The OS is simply the worst in the Premier League to navigate, and if I hear that Jack Woodward sucking up to AM again I will drive back to Birmingham and strangle him (only joking!). The official programme has taken a severe dip this season, looking more like a children's comic and being littered with numerous grammatical and factual errors throughout the season.

Oh, and before I finish, Dunne, Collins, Hutton and N'Zogbia are not fit to wear the shirt and, Gabby - considering you are our stand-in captain - surely it wouldn't have hurt you to raise your head off the ground and clap the fans who have supported you (in my case 125 games in the past three seasons) as you walked on the 'lap of appreciation' in front of the Doug Ellis Stand.

If Randy is a true businessman than he will pull the trigger  after next Sunday.

If Randy had a clue he'd be pulling the trigger right about now and thereby giving the fans something to look forward to for the last game of the season as well as beyond!

I'm not.  I think things have been far worse this year than they were in that season.  And at least in that season we could console ourselves with the fact that there might be a 'bright future' once Doug sold up.

AM interview on the OS says he's planning for next season so expect crowds to be even lower!

How many players do you think will be present for the STs' "lap of appreciation"?
For paying their wages and being rewarded with sh*t!

Unless we'd had a blinding season then I don't think the figures would have been massively higher regardless of who was in charge this season.

Noticeable how much less the average away support was this season at VP. How many sides sold out their allocation this year? A lot of clubs who usually do, or at least come close to it, were way down on their usual numbers.

The prices we charge didn't help.
