The manager hailed his players for showing determination and desire to earn the point against the Champions League-chasing aristocrats from the capital.

The above is taken from OUR official website. We have to change our attitude, we're Aston Villa and we're describing that lot as aristocrats on our official website?

Fuck right off.

Look at it this way without Bent being injured we may not have been in this position. What this season has shown us is that there are too many cracks in the team if big players get injured. If the club do decide to keep McCleish we need buy 3 top quality players and turn 10/17 games into wins which would give us 20 points more not great but a start. Not 100% confident any more that replace a manager of either Lambert or Rodgers would do much better. They only got 6 more points so far this season.

I genuinely think we'd have been in pretty much the same position with Bent in the side.

Christ almighty, it's just symptomatic of how out of touch the club are with the fans.

I don't think you can blame McLeish for that. You can sack whoever wrote it, though.

I thought you were joking until I checked myself. Whoever published that should be sacked. That's worse than some of the comments from McLeish about "elite clubs", this season.

Dave, I wasn't blaming McLeish for it. The guy's name is on the piece, I didn't want to post it here.

I know you weren't blaming him, but I daresay somebody will. It's a stupid comment that whoever edits the site should have scrapped.

Put another way, if we hadn't have signed Bent we'd have gone down this year or last.

I am 100% certain that Lambert or Rodgers would do a better job than Mcleish. I'm 100% confident Ronald McDonald would do a better job than Mcleish.

Heskey played well today, give him credit.

We couldn't hold the ball up at all when he went off.

I wish I was joking. I don't think any of us would ever type something like that, even in jest. There is an awful defeatist air about things. Houllier was right when he said we needed a more winning mentality and were too nice.

It had been obvious for a while leading up to his injury that Bent viewed playing under McLeish as a form of torture.

Wow, that is infuriating. Why is our official site sucking Spurs off?!
