If this was a public event then the club should have briefed the players before on how to behave, shouldn't have let it turn into a piss up afterwards for example and should have advised the players, especially the younger ones on how to communicate with the public during the actual awards. Don't they have PR people working at the club?. Or maybe I've misunderstood and it wasn't a public event?

Herd had clearly lost it but as far as I can make out Collins and Delph didn't do very much wrong. Difficult to make any kind of judgement really without knowing what has happened in the build up to it all going off

Collins seems a bit of a c***  , has he not been in trouble before with his behaviour and he should be mature enough not to get into this hassle like this especially with the younger players .  Bad influence I am thinking.

From what I saw Collins and Delph did very little. Herd seems to be the one causing the trouble.

I agree. Gone is the age where they have to be role models. If that was the case then the FA would do something about Rooney mouthing 'useless c***' at the officials week in week out. These things happen, the Evening Mail is fucked and desperately needs to sell papers and this is why the story broke now.
