Well that's just brilliant. What were they doing boozing at all?

I can't wait for this season to be over and I wish we could delay next season for as long as possible

The club should move them all on as soon as possible (except Herd, he's realy good, he can stay)

The glamour of student night at Gatecrasher... I love footballers.

You can *almost* excuse young lads like Herd and Delph, who were possibly just young and naive.  But that tosser Collins?  As I said, this is the second late night fracas he's been involved with, and as a senior professional he should be setting a better example.

unbloody believeable .  the scary thing is blues had something similar last season with late night drinking and we know what happened there
Didn't they have their end of season function on the same night; possibly in the area where our idiots made prats of themselves?

Watching the video again, it's actually Herd who looks most to blame.

Midfielder Delph said: "I was sober, I was in control of my actions and I did try to calm down the situation. I didn't hit or strike anyone but I should not have been there and I was wrong to be in this position."

he could be talking about his football ;D

To be fair he tends to hit too many people with late tackles...

For a young bloke, Delph is a moody one. Nothing we can do about it. Where will he end up?

Probably Kidderminster... or the Yorkshire equivalent.

None of them seemed pissed at the dinner. There are always a few bad eggs.

God we are turning into Birmingham. I have got the good days to look back on, from the Third Division onwards. But my kids haven't. It is quite hard down here for children to support the Villa, and whilst mine were initially pushed by me in that direction, they have kept their old man happy by continuing, despite ridicule from some of their peers. But if this is the future, it makes me wonder whether I should actively encourage them to support Charlton. A nice family orientated club. Or even Gillingham. In forty odd years of actively supporting Villa I have knowm many bad times. But they were bad times that, somehow, you looked back on almost with fondness. They were honest bad times that made the good times seem better. Never before have I felt that the Villa, or at least the playing side, from top to bottom, needs fumigating or disinfecting.
