WH Smiths have got to be close to folding.

I hope not, they've got the only postbox in the centre of Coventry.

I wouldn't worry about it, last I heard Coventry was closing anyway!  ;)

Back to the topic: in my experience, one of the characteristics of a great business person is their selection of appropriate 'lieutenants'. In Randy's case, he has failed to put onto his team a football afficianado who could have helped him to navigate his way through his biggest decisions.
The big decisions? - well, you know what they are; in each of them, he's dropped a goolie.

Time for him to man up, accept the mistakes he's made and draft in some new lieutenants.

Take your pick

Take Your Pick !
Hosted by Michael Miles, with Bob Danvers Walker. Even as a very young kid I could tell he was a more decent type than that caddish vainglorious smarmy shit Hughie Green.

Then there was the Nederlandische Automobiel en Vliegtuigfabriek Trompenburg.  Inept?  made Ronald McDonald look like Masterchef.  (Something else in there about cooking the books, probably.)

"Caddish and vainglorious". I'd like that for an epitaph.

You have to do something like shagging Paula Yates Mum behind`The Bishops` back to get an epitaph like that.

I first suspected there was something not quite right about Paula Yates when I heard her say on The Tube

"and I mean that most sincerely Jools."

As Gerald Ratner said - 'no one questioned my decisions'
