Normal Villa fayre.  Go one nil up and concede an equaliser in the last 10 mins.  1-1 and another week of nail biting.

Sunderland seem to have hit that phase where MON's teams either run out of steam, or people have worked them out and they don't know what  plan B is.

This one has sterile draw written over it. To be honest, I'd probably take that. We just must not lose.

1-1. And the nastiest atmosphere among Villa fans at VP for many a year.

If he unshackles the kids and lets them play we will demolish Sunderland. Play all of them and give Carruthers a start.

Good suggestions, but can you really see McLoose doing that?

We might score a single goal but will also concede, hopefully only one.

think the messiah has been thrapping himself sore about winning this game since he got the sunderland gig. You'd hope some of the old guard would turn it on, if only in the hope pubehead will buy them in the summer, but i'm not hopeful. 0-2

I think I'd rather beat these than Baggies. And please join me in a rousing boo of St Martin.

We will lose this one. Being behind will lead to supporters snapping at each other about McLeish and MON, the odd fight, and a vile atmosphere all round.
Which is why I'm glad the Father in law has my ticket for this game

I think this a match where the reality of our precarious situation will kick in with the players. We'll be extremely nervy and Sunderland, motivated by MON, will wipe the floor with us as we take another step towards the Championship.

hope we can win, my view is that it is the one game this season to at least give the faithful some cheer if we do.

however just a thought - if we are not winning the match by about the 65th minute someone could always do a West Ham (or was it Millwall) and pull the plug on the electricity. Pity it is summer though as the floodlights won't be on.

I'll go for a 2-2 draw where they equalize in the last few minutes.

I'm really worried that the return of O'Neil will be the straw that breaks the camels back and that we may implode amidst a really really ugly atmosphere.......Villa fans turning on each other is truly the last thing we need.
