does he still look about 12 ?

Yes.

Him and Faulkner together could be like our own Jedward.

So that's

Jedward,
Susan Boyle
Elaine Page
Shirley Bassey
Barbara Dickson

and

Mick McCarthy who have all been linked.

I don't know what Bet Fair will make of that.

If Fergie retires next year then for OGS to be a candidate he'd need top at least reach the top 4 with us.

I could live with that!

Wiki are already saying the baby faced assassin is the manager of aston villa.

Christ, eastie.

I know we take the piss out of your tendency to believe anything on SSN, but you do know how wikipedia works, don't you?

Paulie paulie paulie, just because something is said doesnt mean its gospel- my money is firmly on lambert and has been for 3 weeks at 7/1 and i see nothing to change my mind .

I know that, but it is not what I am saying. What I'm saying is you've said "wiki already has OGS as manager" - I was pointing out that anyone can edit wiki.

I could go on there now and change it to "Aston Villa have appointed a management duo of Jedward".

So randy is in oslo, he has many business interests other than villa and it could be a business stopover on route to england, we have been linked to many people every time we have looked for a manager and rarely have the press or bookies been in the loop.

OGS gone from 33/1 to 5/1 at Bet365.
Presumably Randy's consulted with SrAlex ...

Absolutely.  I would not be happy with another Fergie stooge in our camp.  If we appointed OGS we'd simply be helping them out, grooming them Fergie's potential replacement etc.  I'd rank this as a poor, poor decision if it happened because success or not, OGS would not be a long term, stabilizing appointment for Aston Villa.  And like Houllier, his heart would be elsewhere.

I'm sorry but that's bollocks. As Paulie said Man Utd is one of the biggest jobs in the world and he'd have to do an incredible job with Villa to land that job. So therefore he'd have a lot of success at Villa, which would be great. Also we don't know anything about his character and whether he's a 'Fergie Stooge'.

True, I don't know his character but football being football we know there are networks and lines of communication between various figures.  Having OGS would, I fear, make it far easier for Fergie to keep tabs on our players - hence my use of the term "stooge".  It's nothing to do with character and everything to do with an open door into Villa Park thinking.

If our next manager is doing an "incredible job" I'd like to think Villa Park would be the place to be.  OGS strikes me as being a pretty small-time appointment and ticks none of the boxes I would be looking for.  As Greg N'Ash says, file under: "Buh??"

I got REALLY excited last summer when it said that Frank Rijkaard had become Villa manager!

Ogs would be better than mcleish but there are much better options out there, a bit disappointing if he is the choice .

Fergie as a rival manager shouldnt be consulted in any case .

True, however, like Corsica it wasn't until that detail came out that the odds dropped on McTwat.
Either ways had £10 on OGS at 33/1 this am on paddy power and he's now 3/1
