1 win in 16 games.  1 solitary win in nearly half a season of football.
Some of the stats I have seen mentioned today from our season are shocking.
Sorry to do it again, but the stats are truly horrible:
- Win ratio of 18.5% for the EPL season.
- Worst points haul since 1986-7.
- Highest number of draws in the division: 33% more than the next team (Sunderland).
- Highest number of draws in a season since 1975-6.
 - Lowest number of goals-scored in the bottom 6 clubs (and only surpassed by Stoke in the whole division).
- Lowest number of goals scored in a season since 1969-70.
- Worst record in the league for losing from winning positions – 22 points lost.
- Conceded more from set pieces than any other team.
- The only EPL team not to score from a corner all season.
- Villa's worst-ever league home record.
- VP crowds down by 9% this season.

On this basis, McLeish should leave the club tonight.
Christ that's terrible. Also did Birmingham finish with more points than us last season and go down?

Lambert would probably arrive with a few of their decent players too.

When you see it put like that, it really is beyond shocking.

Is it not actually only 2 in 19 in a full half season? 1 in 16 is sack-able in anyone's book.

Martinez the way he stayed loyal to Wigan impressed me.

He gets really good press up North

I would take him or Rodgers or Lambert

That win was also due to a last minute goalkeeping error.  Basically if there had been one minute less of injury time in the Fulham home game, we would be relegated having won once since New Year's Day.  From a human perspective, I feel sorry for McLeish but from a professional perspective (as well as the point of view of my mental health every weekend watching us), there is no way anyone can defend his record.  Two wins since chuffing new year's day!

Lambert won me over after their display at Arsenal. I'd be happy with him. But certainly Martinez would be a great long term investment and would have us playing the right way. Both take time to study foreign markets and are keen students of the game. I don't think Rodgers is going anywhere, and AVB is a pipe dream as I think he'll want to go to Italy or Spain.

Lambert or Martinez as realistic targets would be fine by me.

Rodgers all the way for me.    He seems a very smart cookie.      RL on the other hand knows jack shit about the game.   Its going to be an interesting few days.

McDermott has done a great job in getting the best out of what he has, and a good philiosophy which could fit with the cloth cutting at our place.  Rodgers has done well at Swansea, but didnt cover himself in glory at Reading. Lambert is a good call

Lambert would probably arrive with a few of their decent players too.

Holt is an obvious one, but he's thirty and you'd think Norwich would want decent money - also we have someone who plays really high up already.

Hoolahan and Pilkington look decent, but we've got Ireland and Gabby.

Johnson looks a good player and probably better than anything we've got in centre midfield.

Their defence is crap so I'd avoid that.
