I know I am going to deeply regret watching this on Sky on Sunday. Still, at least the pleasure awaits of seeing one of my two most detested teams, Spurs or Chelsea, getting knocked out the cup afterwards as a nice dessert to follow on from a most unappetizing main course. Hopefully, the starter will have seen Racist FC getting knocked out on Saturday and our relegation rivals all losing or, at best, only drawing.

Delph, Fonz and Clark all close to returning according to twitter.

Of these, only Clark would be a consideration IMO

Yeah agreed, I wouldn't want Fonz to replace Weimann, I think Lichaj has done well, not sure about Baker just yet so Clark may replace him and Delph isn't good enough.

Lichaj was toss against Liverpool. And Stoke didn't play a proper winger against him last week. I wouldn't play him.

I can't make it to the match so I've got a couple of tickets available if anyone's interested.

I'm open to offers but you would have to collect from the South Birmingham area.

PM me.

Looking at where we're sitting as part of Man Utd's "away fan relocation experiment", you might get some interest from a couple of Sherpas.

Given the state that a few of our fans are already in when they arrive at the ground, there could be some people struggling to make it up to our seats.

Brother in law (well he is from northern ireland) is off to the match to cheer on man u. This fact alone normally means that the mighty villa will get tanked... I'm hoping we can sneak something, anything to not suffer the endless text abuse post match. I cannot see past a loss however... even on our best days at old trafford they have managed to do us time and time again.

3-0 home win.  Utd will defo get a penalty and possibly an offside goal as the ref will feel sorry for them from the wigan game.

And then goes home and sleeps with your sister. Unless you get to sleep with his, in which case that must be some consolation.

Herd out
Fucking hell, has he took over from McLeish?
At least give him a chance.

Just read on the guardian that:
- Man U have scored 3 in 6 of their last 8 home games against us. Pretty high chance of this happening again.
- And if we do lose, it'll be the lowest EVER premier league points total after 33 games.

I'm not clear whether Albrighton is fit. Baker has done well but Cuellar would have to replace him. Despite some being impressed, I don't think Lichaj looks good enough for this level, albeit he's a trier. So I'd bring Warnock back to left back and if not fit, Baker.

With Herd being out, I'd have thought Clark might come in, but perhaps it will be Gardner

In any event, I think we're going to get well and truly beaten, and just hope that we don't get any injuries, suspensions or confidence-battering.

The last time I felt like this going into a game was back in '87. In fact, for the first time in my life I may not take up the opportunity to watch the game. I just can't see anything other than another shamefull approach leading to the inevitable and it's so hard to watch.

I'm clinging on to the "surprise" element of football that makes it so attractive as a game but one, I'm sure, our manager would happily abolish.

We haven't won a single televised game this season and I can't see that changing,Hutton sent off early doors and a 4-0 hammering

Scholes will be back. He's been brilliant since he came back. Such a class act. I don't want to sound like one of our shite managers of current times and times gone (DOL, GH, AM) and start singing the praises of our opposition and their players and basically make excuses before the games kicked off because we're so much shitter than they are (Charlton! ha!) but Scholesy is quality and in all honesty, as much as anything I'm actually looking forward to watching him do his thing. There's few players in this league I'll happily just watch to see them do their thing, but the Ginger Ninja is one of them. He normally tears us a new one, so I expect no different.

However, I'm also hoping Ireland (if he plays) can impact the game and standout, because he's a cracking play when he wants to be.

Still, I expect us to get duly thumped.
