I'd go

Given

Hutton
Collins
Baker
Lichaj

Bannan
Herd
Ireland
Warnock

Gabby
Heskey

Come on McCack, go for the 3 points.

Titter yer not, but I reckon Ivanhoe could actully be useful today. as long as he's stuck up front out the way and not in midfield he may cause them a few problems or at least slightly perturb them with his impression of a forward.. Rather likes those flies that look like wasps.

Stoke are the worst team to watch in the Premier League. 2-0 Villa

We know he's past it, but I reckon he's at his best up front with a partner.

There was a period of 3 or 4 games last season when he played out of his skin, he got sent off against Sunderland and it was all downhill from there.

whatever happened to all those incredibly friendly Stoke supporters who used to come on here after they first came up?

They were nice enough, but it was like getting cold-called by the Jehovah's Witnesses

I think they got fed up with posters saying how unremitingly shit and boring their football was.

Talk about coming back to bite you on the arse!

Agree with this. The only thing he really can do well is be the target man alongside another, quicker striker. If we have to play him, we should at least play him in a role that he can manage.

From the desk of the camp one.

What a result for Aston Villa at Liverpool on Saturday

Yeah, fuck off Lawro.  1-1 against the mighty all-conquering red machine.

Leave him alone, he thinks we'll win 2-1 today.

Although his predictions have been off ever since he shaved off the cock duster.

Had to be moved to give Stoke a full 48 hours between fixtures, they played Wulverhampertun late on Saturday.

I was thinking it may be like a watershed thing, which this fixture thoroughly warrants.

But that would mean a 9:00 kick off.

Agree that Heskey could play a part today but I think it's more likely that he will be there to help defend set pieces.

The difference is that Houiller played him as a striker, told him to get in the box and it seemed to work. McLeish plays him as an extra body and it's not much use at all.

It's not Delap anymore, Pulis has trained someone else to throw the ball very very long.
