He won't take off Heskey, he'll stay on to look after Carroll at free kicks and corners when he comes on.

Well if it still like this at full time who reckons the useless incompetent scottish twat could get the sack ?

Why would you want to fire him on the back of a win at Liverpool?

I'm not, I'm firing him on the back of a home defeat to Villa !  ;D

No, we need KKK to keep his job. It is far more imteresting with him there than not. Anyway, he won't need to be fired. He'll quit on his own next season

Giving the ball away too cheapley, granted, but at times we are playing some good football.Gabby looks as if he could get one today, and we are working harder than last week for me,
Still be happy if we get anything out of this game though, but atm the choice of Heskey and Hutton look justified.

This game sums up everything that is wrong with McLeish.  After 10minutes we were totally on top, they looked disorganised and their keeper was looking an absolute liability.  If we'd really gone at them we'd have stood a great chance of getting a big win.  Instead we've backed off further and further and let them have the ball pretty much uncontested until they get into our third.

It's this insistence on keeping 2 solid banks across the back and the midfield that totally destroys our attacking threat, it's infuriating.

I don't want to sound like an apologist for McLeish, but don't you think some of the way we play is down to the players we have out there? Young, inexperienced against some very experienced international footballers. It is somewhat inevitable that they are going to come at us, especially at home. It's not always McLeish.

If we hadn't played like this all season regardless of the personnel I'd give you that but as we have I prefer to blame the manager.
I'd say Toronto's right though in this case. We have a very young inexperienced team playing, also players who have not played together like this as a unit. They have done very well but Liverpool have taken command, this is not down to AM.

The system doesn't work for keeping possession, the keeper is under no instruction to do anything other than hoof it up to a big man, and perhaps the best player we have for keeping the ball is stuck wide. Also, these players are doing this well despite the system, why on earth weren't they playing earlier in the season?

I desperately hope we win today, but points we get really seem to me to be in spite of the manager not because him. I can assure you that thinking this gives me no joy, but that's the honest conclusion I've come to.

This is where the manager earns his corn. He has to address their midfielders getting in behind Ireland and Herd towards the end of the half. Come on you Lions!

Liverpool have got more points of us in the PL than any other team. Nice to know we've been their bitches. I bet Man U have a similar record.

Worst Liverpool team in my living memory. Gerrard is a shadow of the player he once was.

I was going to suggest the 92-93 team of Bjornebye, Rosenthal, Marsh and so on, but was shocked to see they actually finished 6th that year.  I remember them being bloody awful at times.
