I say Mcleish out now.

Fucking idiot, negative no ambition of a manager.

The bench is -

Subs: Guzan, Johnson, Carruthers, Gardner, Weimann, Stevens, Williams.

What else could he have done? Weimann for Heskey is the only change I'd like and even Weimann has been injured midweek.

What team did you want him to play?? With the exception of maybe Gardner over Warnock, but at least its an experienced head in midfield... I understand the logic behind it

How Gardner must be feeling seeing Warnock ahead of him in midfield I don't know.

However, hopefully that's a 4-2-3-1, because the straightforward, rigid  4-4-2 of last week with Bannan and Gardner wide (this time you'd think it'd be Ireland) was a complete disaster.

Are they having this on Villastreams ( what with the PL fucking about with foreign broadcasts and all)? Not sure whether to pay for the game.

Gut instinct says Hutton is right midfield on that team. I would like Warnock it if Warnock is in the middle of the park, but think it will be Hutton on the right. Why Albrighton can't do that I have not a clue after the way he changed the game last week. I have just been informed while typing however, that while I have not a clue, neither has McLeish.

We haven't kicked a ball yet, and we all accuse McLeish of giving up matches before he's even started. Let's at least wait until after kick off, eh?

Don't understand the team at all, who is playing where or do they just decide when they get on the pitch?

I don't care how many injuries there are, we could be down to the last 6 fit first team squad players, Emile Fucking Heskey shouldn't be anywhere near starting a football match for Aston Villa. I don't care if he's a nice bloke or that he scored a fairly decent goal against Portsmouth on his debut he is fucking useless.

Feel slightly better for that now.

Anyway, good feeling about this one. 3-1 to Villa with Heskey to bag a hat trick to answer his critics in the best possible way.

Edit above, Gardner should be starting over Heskey for me if Hutton is wide right. Ireland plays left and Gardner central getting forward. Albrighton must have a knock. Another one down!!!

Gardner ahead of Warnock

Weimann ahead of Heskey

Don't give me bullshit about what else could he have done, he is a negative manager who breathes negativity into the players and fans just with his selections.

He tried this at spurs, it never worked, yet last week we showed guts and promise against a resurgent Chelsea. Today he has waved the white flag.

Why, make the mistake once is ok, make it twice is bad, 30 odd times and just hoping beyond any sense.

I suppose it depends how we line up but last week he played Gardner and Bannan out of position.  If you want them to become "men" at least give them a chance and play them where they've played since they were kids.

Someone earlier said he didn't travel as injured groin
