Lawro's verdict

Villa come into this match in danger of being sucked into the relegation battle and the bad news about Stiliyan Petrov's illness does not help.

Are they missing injured England striker Darren Bent up front? Yes and no. Bent gets you goals but I just think Villa are very negative.

If they had been more of an attacking team then they would be about 10 points better off, but Alex McLeish has his way of playing and he has not really unleashed the players he has got who can win games.

2-0 to Liverpool

Reason enough to sack him. We saw the car crash evolve from early on in the season. Lawro is right. remember all those games at the star of the season when bent was isolated up front and we kept drawing.

Alex. It's one point for a draw, three for a win!

The one worry about tomorrow is that whenever Liverpool are about to plunge into a mini crisis, they manage to pull something out the bag and i can see it happening tomorrow.

Well I can't see this tomorrow as I'm away, I hope when I check the result it's a win. However I suspect we'll go there and play for a 0-2 defeat and we'll probably lose 0-4.

Too right. The amount of time and space we will give them is a tonic to a team in distress. We should go there and attack and get their fans on the teams back, but I worry the manager has still pencilled this in as a 'bye'.

It will probably be a turgid game, but they will score and their confidence will grow as the game progresses.

Given the form of the sides a draw it's most likely. It would be nice to show enough ambition to get the first goal.

Lawro's point about us being ten points better off if we had been less negative earlier in the season. We had a £24m striker playing on his own with no support for the first few months of the season. We were drawing too many games and lots of posters on this site were pointing out that we weren't trying to create enough chances. We wouldn't be in this mess now if we had beaten teams like QPR,Wigan and Swansea. Teams that we were very negative against.

The key is not trying to win the game. McLeish always mentions chances we miss, and how we need to be more ruthless - but if you only create one or two a game, you may miss them. It's mental.

I think Liverpool are there for the taking - so I reckon we will only lose by the odd goal. 2 - 1 to them!

I think that sums it up neatly and succinctly.

Liverpool are definitely there for the taking.

However, if there's a team in the division that time after time shows itself lacking in the ambition to "take" anything, it is us under this disaster of a manager.

2-0 Liverpool.

I live up in the North West near Liverpool and know from the local media up hear that Liverpool are under massive pressure tomorrow. The Dalglish bubble has well and truly burst and their fans are not happy.

However I disagree with people who think Liverpool are "there for the taking" tomorrow, I think they're due to absolutely Twat someone.....US. We're beyond shit and this clueless fool in charge is taking us into unchartered territory, outside the Premier League.

Randy......we told you so.

4-0 Liverpool.
