I've got a feeling that if we go with the same starting eleven as yesterday and go at them like Wigan did (they don't like it up 'em). We could win this one. 2-1 The Villa

Any other team would relish this game, going to Anfield against a fragile Liverpool team, attacking and them falling apart, however we'll go there set up for a draw and be 1 down after 4 minutes, 2 down after 13 minutes and 3 down just before half time, after a rousing half time team talk we'll come out and draw the second half 0-0, job done!

It's often been said that teams in the middle of a poor run love to play Villa.  I can't see this being any different, and think we'll lose 3-0.

Got a horrible feeling that Caroll will get a hat-trick.

No joy here 3-1 to Liverpool.

Big call for McLeish, there's only 48 hours from this to the Stoke game. Does he put out a weakened team to save some for the Stoke game?

Whether he does, we'll probably lose and he'll get panned for it.

From the look of the team and the bench yesterday (including 16 year old Jack Grealish!), I don't think he's got much choice about a weakened team or otherwise. In defence Hutton, Dunne and Clark are still out, but hopefully Carlos will come in for Baker; in midfield N'Zogbia and obviously Stan are out (not to mention Delph and Makoun!); up front Bent is out for the rest of the season. So I think we're more or less down to the team picking itself much along the lines of yesterday's line up. Think Liverpool's midfield will dominate ours and we'll lose by a couple.

Given that we're this season's calling point for breaking unwanted stats (Albion winning at VP since McGrath knows when, Torres scoring a league goal, 6 trillion corners won without scoring from one, 6 trillion corners conceded and a goal conceded every time etc) you can more or less guarantee that their goals will come from the pony-tailed one, the weasel and the racist.

I'm not prone to trying to predict a result as I always get it wrong,  so I'm going for 10-0 to Liverpool.

To be honest I have pretty much written off the Liverpool and United trips and looked at the Stoke, Sunderland and Bolton games to get wins. If AM is going to go into the Liverpool game with his negative tactics he might as well play the kids and rest the seniors for Stoke. What is the point making players play twice in two days if tactically you aren't trying to win the first one.

If you're having a bad run we're just the team to play to get you out of it 3-0 to the dippers.

Struggling teams and struggling strikers - Villa are always their redemption.  3-0 to Liverpool with Caroll getting at least one and probably hamster bollocks his first PL goal for them as well.
