McLeish needs to change the shape around.  We could play another 5 games and not score a goal (let alone 2).

Let's face it we can blame McLeish for a lot of things but as for swapping it now? I doubt that would make much difference, Lerner has fucked Villa over this season and unfortunately for him we weren't lucky enough to go all season without an injury.

Not blaming, more suggesting.  It's hard on AM as he has a team full of kids and a bench full of children (and Heskey).

We are definitely in trouble, I don't see how anyone can say we're not.

Troubled, yes
Doomed, no
Quite.

If that story regarding McLeishes pay has any truth in it then Lerner really needs to fuck off as soon as possible, why on Earth would he pay a bloke over the odds when he probably would've joined for half???

I wouldn't put money on that at the moment achilles.
I agree, whilst you cant blame AM for the state of the squad you can blame him for some of the shit served up this year.  A half decent manager would have had us easily safe by now.

I can't disagree. To get relegated with this team would be shocking. He can blame the injuries, but we were poor and didn't win far too many games where had everyone fit. Really inadequate.

Since Bent got injured we have carried no goal threat at all. With us not creating many, at least he had got 10 this season. We just look totally toothless, and worryingly have most of our creative players out there short of Nzogbia.

the signing of Holman and hopefully others of that ilk will help. I love Gabby but he's not the answer up front. He's very one dimensional, and if you are going to be one dimensional, you need to be Darren Bent in front of goal.

Excluding yesterdays news, there has been an air of "meh" around villa for sometime and someone at the club needs to get a grip because the apathy will see us sucked right into the heart of the relegation scrap and I don't think we have the spirit for that fight.

Martin Petrov steps up to send Wayne Hennessey the wrong way and drag his side level. Petrov celebrates by lifting his shirt to reveal a t-shirt saying 'be strong Stan' in support of Villa captain and fellow Bulgarian Stiliyan Petrov

It is the equivalent of signing Alan Ball as manager in the 80's/90's

Oh for the love of fuck.

Martin Petrov steps up to send Wayne Hennessey the wrong way and drag his side level. Petrov celebrates by lifting his shirt to reveal a t-shirt saying 'be strong Stan' in support of Villa captain and fellow Bulgarian Stiliyan Petrov

That's a very good gesture.

Our form and results are mirroring Blues from the end of last season......
