Its a bit sad that-reads like a C.V. for an office job on his home page. Would still like to see him back at VP with his experience.

I'll never forget the day Peter Withe visited me in hospital on my 16th birthday in June 1981 jnust after we had won the league.  He stayed and chatted with me for over an hour.

I still have the scarf, signed book and cards from him and Ron Saunders safely stored away.

Top bloke!

He chatted to you for an hour? Fookin' 'ell, the best Joey Barton would manage is a torrent of tweets at you two feet away before throwing his mobile in disgust at you and walking out. Good thing you're old enough to deal with that shit now.

I remember spotting him driving round the Solihull area a couple of times back in the days when the Villa players all had Austin Maestros provided by the club/Austin Rover.

Was it Ken McNaught who sent his Austin Maestro back because his 2 dogs wouldn't fit in the boot?
