Agreed. Worth giving Bannan a shot in the wide position.

I think it's either play Bannan out wide with Gabby on his own up top, or play Gabby out wide with Weimann on his own.

I strongly prefer the latter, but either way is fine - as long as Heskey isn't playing.

I think you need to give Bannan the licence to roam anywhere, it's what he does for the reserves and it's why he looks so bloody good when he plays for them. He's be wasted on the flank.

As for Saturday, i'd go Lichaj at right back, Herd, Stan and Ireland in the middle, Gabby and Marc out wide and Weimann up front.

Given, Lichaj, Collins, Cuellar, Warnock, Petrov, Herd, Ireland, Albrighton, Agbonlahor, Wiemann (or Heskey).  Against Chelsea, Liverpool, Stoke & Man Utd.  Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Gardner for poor Stan. Oh dear oh dear oh dear oh dear, repeat to fade.

Bannan out wide is a waste of time.

He needs to be central.

Agree, he is wasted out on the right and a bit of a passenger out there as it negates any width.  He cuts infield every time onto his left foot.  His interplay with Ireland is about the only thing enjoyable about watching us currently.
