Just have a feeling we might sneak this by the odd goal, nothing to support this theory and I know most of us think we may never win another game but think that will change this Saturday, also being obsessive plus the fact I am shitting myself I looked at the league table after 28 games last season and the bottom looked like this
18th Wolves 28pts
19th WhU     27pts
20th Wigan   26pts
So last years strugglers were quite a few points better off than the current clubs in the bottom 3 will be after this weekend, 39 points sent clubs down last season so on that basis I reckon the bottom 5 will get another 10-12 points tops so 34/35 should be more than enough, we are going to be fine.
Ps We were on 33pts after 28 games.

Anyone who is looking at the fact that Fulham beat Wolves 5-0 last weekend and predicting meltdown because of that, but didn't see the match, should rest assured that Wolves were so piss poor, we too would have kept a clean sheet AND won by at least a three goal margin, even if we'd been playing them at home.

Agreed Paulie, I thought we were bad but Wolves were absolutely dreadful. I think they are in deep shit.

I think we will win 2-1 this weekend.

An unexpected comfortable 3-0 victory Ireland (38) Gabby (68) Nzog (82)
If you believe that - get down the Bookies, 130-1 at Coral ;)

When was Gabby's last league goal?

One of Ireland or Nzogbia will score our only goal.

Fulham will score for defo. 1-2. Late winner for Fulham.

Same starting line up as last week. If Charles N'Zogbia doesn't start I will lose my shit. And if Ireland's not out there you might as well listen on the radio because there isn't going to be much to see. For gods sake Villa, win.

Can we please conjure up some sort of 'Score a goal' song/chant, and not let off of it until the ball is in the bag?

Heart: 3-1  (N'Zogbia 22, 72  Ireland 53)
Head: 1-1

1-2 to Fulham.  Nzogbia for us and Andy Johnson and Pobrebnyak for them

Pobrebnyak will be a handful, as well as Johnson and Dempsey. It's going to be an uncomfortable afternoon.

Hope I don't live to regret this decision but i'm taking my son to our first game of the season. He's been with me three times before and hasn't seen us lose yet, mind you two of the three games he's been to were drab 0-0's against Chelsea. Gonna be brave and say 2-1 Villa, come on me babbies!!!

If we don't win this one then the McLeish doomsday clock will surely move to one minute to midnight. It feels like a draw but we must win a football game sooner or later  :-\

I am now convinced that AM is here for at least another season and we just have you get on with it. The lad and I were laughing about when we will see them win again - my longest run is four matches in the 80's.
