Remember Southgate, Savo and Draper in the Little summer. Feels a bit like that to me.

sorry folks, I'm 57 pages behind, I've been to work and the pub...where do we stand? Ins and outs? Who?

In - Carlton Palmer, Steve Bull and Benni McCarthy.

Out - David Unsworth.
Cheers mate, not only am I half pissed but also stuck in the 90's.
Today it feels like 91 when Big Ron was shitting new players - the question is will Benteke be the new Dalian Atkinson?

I do hope so. Even with the inconsistency, injuries and going missing every Christmas Atkinson in the Premier League now would be an absolute sensation.

9 players in 1 summer cannot be argued with. We wanted younger, more scouting, potential future stars that we never seem to get. We have tried that route, lets see how it goes...

And I suppose that, being relegation favourites, there will be no extra pressure to be placed on the kids that we've signed.  I am not being sarcastic. Whatever we do this season, particularly by finishing outside the bottom three will strengthen the squad and give them valuable experience.  My only fear is that, if you fill your team with championship players, you end up being a championship side.  I hope not and I DO have faith in Paul Lambert. I am looking forward to seeing them all play. I hope Lambert knows what he's doing.

We're getting the bodies in, only time will tell how good they become so lets all be patient and hope this experimental season doesn't end in disaster.

It sure is different from what previous managers have done and I'm curious now to how it will fall into place.

According to Phil McNulty at BBC Benteke will 'unveiled' soon.

Bring these in now, see what they're like then if we're in trouble come January, that's the time for a couple of old heads. This way we've also got money left over.

Shame Dempsey didnt fail to agree terms with Spurs but then it probably played into Levy's hands that there was no way he could stay at Fulham.
Probably got him for peanuts in the end.......hope they are happy together......much happier with the young and hungry newbuys at the Villa
