A Quality Progressive Coach (PL) signing one of Dario (Yoda) the Genius's acolytes, I think he will be good. Remember Platt took 6 months to bed in.

IIRC, Platt scored five goals in his first ten games!!

Scored on his debut against Blackburn I think - a 2-3 defeat.

I was at his debut at Ewood Park.

What a great player he was for us, but I struggle to think of another player who was so key for us, but then went on to act as if he'd never played for us in future life.

Gray is more objectionable - he did play for us and still spouts on about us though talks about Everton much more and mysteriously never mentions 1981 or 1982. Grade A fucking arsehole. And yes he was my first footballing hero. As a 6 year old I couldn't comprehend that Little was a much better player - thankfully my Old Man could and did.

I think Gray is a bell-end, I really do, but he has way, way more positive things to say about Villa than David Platt does.
