At this point I am starting to worry a little that that's it for us this window, which, if it is the case, is nothing like sufficient, and means we're going to have a very long, hard season ahead of us.

The squad wasn't good enough as it is, and with other teams strengthening, you'd be right to worry.

Got a Spurs fan sitting just behind me at work talking about their signings in an extremely smug manner.

Have you considered punching him very hard in the face?

Just take a sip of coffee from your Champions of Europe mug, look smugly at him and then tell him to fuck off and come back when they've won the league in colour.
Punch him in the face and look for a new job on Monday.

Not getting like that until 8pm tonight. Plenty of time, and still think at least 2 more will come.

If not, January is 4 months away, and depending on where we are, there will be money to spend.

Coming up on the BBC Red button.
Transfer Deadline Day with Dan Walker.
Might be worth it to see what colour tank top Garth Crookes is wearing.

I think having the deadline day a week after the season has started is bollocks.

Once the first whistle of the new season goes then the players you have are what you have until the next window opens.

And why its all left to the last day [or even the last minute of the last day] is beyond me!

Yer but if were looking like relegation fodder, who will want to come?

SSN Twitter saying Frank Fielding passed a medical at Villa - keeper isn't he?

Just what we need. A yodelling goalkeeper.

Three number ones on the spin can't be bad.

We could be seriously in the shit by January, and we're always being told it isn't a good time to be doing deals in any case.  Lerner needed to get his arse in gear THIS window, and so far it hasn't happened.

I think this whole Benteke saga is taking the piss.  Why we have waited so long to strike a deal is beyond me.  Everyone at the club knew we were in desparate need to strengthen the squad but have left important deals so late.

I think that could be it, Makoun went which meant we bought Bennett and Bowery, so maybe Warnock and Hutton still need to be shifted before we bring others in.

We have signed 6 players this window so far. Just because they are not household names, it is the most I can ever recall us signing in 1 summer.

At the very least it's inconvenient  for fantasy football

What's more annoying is seeing Aguero crocked after fifteen minutes only to swap him for Rooney to see him crocked. Van Persie it is then.
