Benayoun is an excellent player. QPR or Fulham would be my bet though.

Maybe even West Ham return.

Charlie Adam looks like he is carrying some timber on the SSN pictures.

Maybe the NZonzi link might happen, sending Warnock the other way?

NZonzi I like, he's like a more elegant Delph.

QPR are about to sign Granero!? That's really upsetting, always liked him and thought he was wasting his life at Real, and he comes to England to a club smaller than us when we could use someone like him. Especially to a club like that lot. Ah well.

Launch is the key word there Monty.

1.  QPR have more money to throw around
2.  They are in London and most foreign players will prefer to be there

I thought it was appropriate. And, to be fair, Adam's apparent need to never pass shorter than 60 yards will find a welcoming home there.

Sunderland after Dempsey, I wish we were in the running for him.

QPR will go bump.

There is no way a team that cannot compete in the top six, with a ground that holds 18,000 can possibly afford to carry on as they are.

I was listening to QPR fans on the way back after the Tramere game and they were very worried by it all. The goal keeping scenario, where they're going to be paying £100,000 a week for the two is a crazy situation to be in.

Always thought N'Zonzi was decent, but not a world beater, which I suppose is all we can hope for right now.

I'm not all that sure another DCM option is all that important for two reasons:-
1.  We'll be playing a narrow midfield, meaning the opposition should finder it harder to get through us, making a specialist DCM less important than in a more traditional 4-4-2.
2.  I quite rate Herd in the role.

So in terms of both fee and wages, I think we'd be better off concentrating our finances on the forward options now LB is sorted.

29, big wages, no sell on value.

Nah.

Berbatov to Fulham? Could be a real result for them...talented but lazy

I agree with you about our priorities, but I think NZonzi's better than you say and certainly better than Herd. If we can afford to get him and Benteke, I would do it like a shot.

Berbatov will replace Dempsey well for them.

Dempsey is very comfortable at Fulham, I don't think he will be as effective elsewhere.

Does anyone else find it a little depressing seeing many exciting players going to other clubs? most notably, QPR and Swansea. Why are we not signing anyone interesting? Am I missing something?

NZonzi, El Ahmadi and Ireland could be a decent middle 3.

QPR are Pompey the 2nd.

QPR are throwing money at any whore who passes. They will end up with something nasty and go bump.

Swansea are buying well, but players from a league their manager knows well having managed there and played there for seasons. They are also much better set up than we are following the time they have been building their ethos etc.

Yes.

That kind of player yes. But there are others out there for cheaper that PL will know about. He'll be £10m and that money can be spent a lot better. Plus it'll be his last big contract so he'll want a shit load of money. In two years he won't be as good and we'll have another expensive player we can't shift.

If he was 27 then I'd eat my own babies to get him. But he isn't. He's nearly 30.
