If he could rediscover the form that he had at Wigan then he'd be a top signing for us.
Sounds familiar!

Palacios is one I have been thinking must be worth a look, but know as soon as it is said on here many people will moan about him being a limited footballer. Could do well in our midfield IMO.

Anthony Annan makes more sense at the DM that Lambert is after though. Interesting if we manage to get Benteke, the Chesterfield lad, Stephens and this DM being talked about. Would certainly give us some depth.

Ozz, he's so technically limited that, despite his huge physique, even Stoke don't want him. Annan would make so much more sense.

Adam to Stoke makes no sense given the player's attritutes and limitations and the way they play.  Guess he'd simply be there to take the set pieces?

I think you're right.

I don't think Adam would suit our midfield as Lambert wants to get the ball down and play as does Rodgers obviously. So if Rodgers doesn't think Adam is suitable then PL won't either. Having said that, set pieces is somewhere we have desperately needed to improve for years..... I'd take Adam though just to give us some more experience and another dimension plus I think he'd be cheap if Liverpool need him out.

I can't see us going for Carroll as we're going for Bowery and Benteke. That would make 6 strikers in our squad. Shame in a way.

I have so much faith in Lambert and whoever he wants to bring in.

Think you've answered your own question there John.

Probably, but then I don't see how he's that good at set pieces to warrant being a passenger in their usual 'kick and rush' midfield.  It's not as if they aren't already quite good from set pieces at the moment!

He does, but joined Osasuna a week ago. Guess not him then!

Maybe they're looking to counter-attack more? One thing you notice about Stoke is how slowly they move the ball, so perhaps Pulis is thinking that Adam could sit deep in midfield and launch counter-attacking balls for wingers and forwards.

He does, but joined Osasuna a week ago. Guess not him then!

Ah bollocks. Where've I put that drawing board?

Just about to say that.

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun tweets: "I can confirm that I'm in talks with two Premier League clubs about a loan move, hope to sort it by tomorrow evening..."

Maybe a Merson-esque signing?

I'd take him.

Yes from me. He'd be a good addition to the squad.

Neither a DCM or a striker, but would be useful and I'd take him on loan!

Surely we now finally have the opportunity of getting Carlton Palmer?

His lad looked pretty good for Tranmere on Tuesday

QPR are about to sign Granero!? That's really upsetting, always liked him and thought he was wasting his life at Real, and he comes to England to a club smaller than us when we could use someone like him. Especially to a club like that lot. Ah well.

Launch is the key word there Monty.

I thought it was appropriate. And, to be fair, Adam's apparent need to never pass shorter than 60 yards will find a welcoming home there.
