Don't want anyone on loan, and don't want Bendtner even permanently. He's an utter twat, and a very mediocre player most of the time.

Permanent players only please, LB and striker as a minimum, 1-2 more on top ideally.

I think Bender is a top player in the making but his head is off somewhere else. I would take him for sure.

I am holding out hope we get 4 this week, Bennett, Benteke seem the most likely, then I would not mind Adam and Gouffran to give us a few more options and quality going forward, and I think Adam could feed Bent very nicely.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert hopes to complete the signings of Genk striker Christian Benteke and Middlesbrough defender Joe Bennett.

After on Tuesday night defeating Tranmere Rovers in the Capital One Cup, the Villa boss will turn his attention to trying to bolster his squad before the transfer window shuts.

Villa have already had one bid - believed to be around £5million - rejected for Belgium international Benteke.

And Sky Sports sources have revealed the Premier League club want Middlesbrough's England Under-21 defender, Bennett.

"If we can do something with a few people, we'd like to do something. There are three days to go and things go for you and against you. It's been like that so I will wait and see"
