Well with this benteke player on the raider, i think we can stop worrying about doyle, adam, dawson etc. these arent the players we are looking at and doesnt seem to be having any knee jerk reactions to the last 2 results. He has got a plan in mind and will take a while to implement it. We need to have faith and support the board, manager and team this season through good and bad as it will take time.

There doesn't seem to be much around about Stephens but he's 24 so not that young and he played a lovely through ball for this goal -

. I think Charlton do try to play a passing game so maybe he's decent. Having seen Joe Allen yesterday, had someone said we should sign him when he was playing Championship football for Swansea I doubt people would have been impressed.

Going by the 'chatter', Benteke and Stephens might be actual targets rather than bullshit links. I was only thinking earlier that it had gone quiet about Benteke which I thought was a shame because I liked what I had read about him.

Benteke is a terrific player, and I'd play him up front on his own over Bent once he's settled in.

Probably not, but I understand the restrictions on our transfer policy at the moment and I think that the current squad with those two should see us through to January. A decent left back and  target man up front should be our two priorities at the moment in my eyes, and those two fit the bill.

I'd rather have two decent players for 8 million than one overrated, overpriced guy with 'premier league experience' in a position that we dont need.
