I spoke to a Lille fan and he said Cole was shite for them last season.  I queried this as I heard that he’d played okay through various journalists and (another person - a journalist) said that this is standard practice for agents to say their clients are doing well as this is he “news” that will be reported as the journalists never check.

In other words I’d steer clear.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Kieran Richardson wanted away from Sunderland. I think he would be a great signing, experienced at this level, a great upbringing via ManYew, can play LB or LM. I doubt he'd cost a fortune as well.
