A no for Owen from me as well, mainly because he's past it and for the reason Nastylee has said. Van Persie would'nt score for us at the moment.

Owen would just further drive up the wage bill and he is not the answer right now.

Robbie Keane, Steven Nzonzi. Nigel Reo Coker, Lee Chung Yong, Scott Dann, Tom Ince, Charlie Adam. Use Nzogbia and Ireland for trades if necessary. We will survive then. Ireland to LA, Nzogbia to Liverpool.

If anyone wants Bannan, Delph, Hutton, Warnock and the Fonz, let them go permanently.

Adam will add set piece expertise if nothing else. The state of the deliveries Nzogbia and Bannan put in yesterday and all last season. Adam will add goals from midfield that we are solely lacking, a bit of personality and a point to prove. Nzonzi has a bit of presence and has potential to get better. Stuck with Steve kean at blackburn, he will leave if we offer anything reasonable. Offer Delph and cash if needs be. NRC, one year deal. Guaranteed he will do ok for us and earn another year. We are facing a relegation battle, get him back and quick. Lee has quality out wide, after one season I've had it with Nzogbia. Lee has a good attitude and very good on the ball. Ince is a coming player that and we need young quality players in the ranks, throw in Bannan and the Fonz to get him if needs be. Dann would be aiming for three relegations in a row but again with Steve Kean, any reasonable player will be looking to get out. Will provide cover at centre half if nothing else. Throw in Warnock as part of the deal.

Above all we need leadership. Sure Robbie Keane has had better days but the bit of guile he provided for the few weeks he was with us last season, kept us up. Swap Ireland for him. Ireland would only love being over there. If not Keane, we still need an experienced head up there with guile. Think Keane is the best fit for us at the moment.

We've just appointed a new head of European scouting...hopefully he'll have already identified a few players rich for picking from the continent instead of tried and tested useless shite like NRC.
Maybe, but we have four days to sort out at least four quick fixes. NRC is is one of those quick fixes.

Bit like eating at McDoanalds. You know it is shit. But you also know what you are going to get, and sometimes it does the job.

Keane
Adam
NRC

Plus a winger...

All do-able in four working days.

Won't happen though.

NRC doesn't need to be signed in the next 4 days - he's a free agent. We can first focus on bringing in someone like Annan or Frimpong for that position.

I want us to sign Tom Ince. Tomorrow. Fuck that, right now.
He looks a rite player, problem is that moron of a manager.

How about if we appoint that moron of a manager as well. He is doing quite a good job again with a squad of not even Championship level players.

So are we really that bad that a player that under performed here once before and that we were mighty glad to be able to shift just so we could get him off our wage structure is now the fix that we need.

Now if it was James Milner.............. but NRC.  I'd find that a little depressing tbh.

NRC wasn't good enough when we were pushing for the top 4, it's obvious we are a way off that now and he'd do a job and is gettable.

Problem signing players now though is they are more like panic buys rather than considered decisions.

It's a nightmare of a situation.

I wasn't glad to shift him at all. I think NRC is great at what he does. He also works hard, never stops and communicates exceptionally well. I wish we'da kept him.

It really is shocking, NRC is nowhere near good enough. Theres a few posters on here that do a better job than his insane agent at bigging the bloke up. Napoli and Juventus you say? Fuck that, this bloke should be playing for Barca or Brazil.

depressing but realistic. NRC had a decent season at Bolton last season and his last one for us he was decent too. Herd and Bannan looked thoroughly out of their depth yesterday. Reo Coker even if he was only a squad player would add so much more presence and bite to our midfield. Its a free transfer at no risk for a solid performer in the league we are trying to stay in.

The only player that looks anyway reasonable for us in midfield is El Ahmadi. Delph and Bannan are Championship players at best. Petrov has played his last game for the club as possibly has Gary Gardner. We need replacements in fast.

I think everyone needs to get real. We have a week to get players in that can help us stay in the league this season. We either havent the ambition or cash for players to take us to European football. The ones I have suggested are eminently gettable and will ensure we will stay up fairly comfortably this season.

But we are not pushing for the top four now. We are pushing for the top seventeen.

we do need some more players but they must be the right ones, the answer is not to go out and spend willy nilly we would just get ourselves back in the posision we are trying to get out of.

i hear people say we need some 'experience' weve already got experience in Dunne, Warnock and Hutton, but hey they arnt very good two of them were bad buys, lets not do it again. we just let a load of 'experience' out the door with the likes of Heskey, Beye etc, we dont want to get ourselves back in the same mither again

we also let that mega experienced Centre Half Collins go, did anyone see him yesterday ?
anyone want him back ?

the calls for NRC are jsut crackers, he's exactly the sort of player that was clogging up the wage bill no where near good enough, going to offer no improvement to the team or himself and yet the panickers are calling for him back again,

i remember when we were struggling near the bottom with Houllier,
there were many calls then to get rid and bring in Allardyce to 'save' us, what a load of bollox that was, and its the same with the calls for NRC, he is not the answer to any of the questions

if we are going to spend and i hope we do before next friday, i hope they are not knee jerk panic buys, like some of you guys want, we need a manager with a vision who doesnt get side tracked doesnt panic and builds the team and squad in a structured and patient way.

i guarantee the ones saying we need to spend big now or we are doomed, are exactly the same ones who have been telling us we are 'nailed on' for relegation the last two seasons,
but hey the last time i looked we are still in the premier, so you got it wrong two years on the trot, and we are in a better position now as we have a lot better manager who we must trust to get on with the job and build the team

his signings so far have been good, lets see if he can bring a couple more in the same, but the last thing we need is a few more NRC,Huttons, Beye, Heskey etc types, experienced at picking up a big fat weekly wage, but just draining the very soul out of the club

and based on what we've seen of the new signings so far I trust Lambert to do this

He could'nt help Bolton achieve that last season.
