He's been treated to the full Alan Hutton by Lambert after that horror show at Forest. It's a stinging message from Lambert that first Hutton, now Warnock can't even make squads for friendly games.

I fucking love Lambert already, he's came in and almost straight away realised who the crap ones are.

 Starting to get slightly concerned about how much money is available for Lambert. Gabby, Dunne and Albrighton are not going to be fully fit probably until sometime in October. I understand off loading Hutton and Warnock on big wages are a problem. But if we do not start strongly we will be playing catch up all season and confidence will dwindle. Lambert knows we need a LB, striker and someone to feed the front line. Its not quite panick time but we kick off next week still lacking quality in several area`s and i hope Lambert gets the financial backing he clearly needs .......

I reckon we will sign 3 more, a left back, winger and striker. Makoun returning at some point would be nice too!

Lambert has quickly identified the weak links in the squad (Hutton, Collins & Warnock) and has got one out and dropped two from the squad and will hopefully get rid of them fairly soon.
Collins has been replaced, Hutton too if Lowton is deemed good enough to be a starter next week.
I'd be pretty surprised if the left back slot is going to be a fight out between Baker, Herd & Stephens so I would expect another left back to come in and another striker too considering our lightweight look up front with Gabby out for a while, Bent not fully fit , Fonz dropped and Weimann not proven yet.
I have faith that these issues will be resolved in the next few weeks, I hope I'm not wrong.

A bit surprised if fonz has been dropped. He's done a lot new than weimann in preseason. Injured perhaps? Lichaj likely to be first choice left back until we get someone else?

The squad we've taken to Germany looks very lightweight though. Not a single defender or central midfielder with any kind of premier league pedigree.

Fonz did seem to pick a knock up in the first half against Forest last week, so maybe he is out injured.

For a friendly we've taken 18 players. Three of whom are goalkeepers. Bent is yet to complete 90 minutes as well yet this pre season.

Money needs to be found for players or else the way things are going the team will pick itself versus West Ham.

If he's judging purely on last season then we would'nt have any players left.
