Based on the price range of players we've been in for so far I doubt if we could afford him. Hope I'm wrong though.

This stuff about Adam Johnson has echoes of the hype surrounding Stephen Ireland. Another player who has shown glimpses of being the real deal but has also sat on the bench at city for over a year. They see nothing in him that warrants a decent run in the team so I won't get too excited. There again, neither has Milner cemented a place a place and the landscape at city has changed drastically since Ireland was a bench warmer.

As for Milner going to Sunderland, it surely has to be bollocks.

The thing is that because we did some very decent business swiftly and reletviely smoothly we have now hit a spot where it has slowed down and we are feeling it is worse than it actually is

The general feeling in the press for what its worth is that we are looking for two more players, a left back and a striker. I can see us getting Cresswell but I'm not so sure about todays story of 13 million for Fletcher.
