There will probably be some news tomorrow about Cresswell break tomorrow. Based on nothing more than the fact that the two times I've had hospital appointments we signed KEA and Lowton. I've got another appointment tomorrow so something's bound to happen.

Good luck with your appointment.

Bendtner is not the worst player in the world, but as others have mentioned, he thinks he's far better than he actually is.

And he's a dickhead, too. What was all that nonsense about getting caught vandalising cars in Newcastle recently?

Thanks - its just a pre-op assessment. I imagine its just taking blood pressure, heart rate etc. Then I'm sodding off work for the day and going to watch the new Batman film. Be nice if there was some news about an imminent transfer - I'll settle for one of the castoffs finding a new club.

It is being tweeted by an Ipswich journalist that They have brought a left back from Doncaster and we have agreed a fee for Cresswell. Not seen a price .....

George Friend (a left back) is going to Ipswich according to this: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-transfers-aaron-cresswell-1169359

And they're saying Cresswell will cost us £3.5m

I'll say this much. Matt Lowton hasn't looked out of place at all at RB. I trust Lambert to get the LB position pinned down with another young hungry kid like Cresswell looks as though he might be. Maybe this kid ne our very own Leighton Baines

I like the approach we seem to be taking in the transfer market were by we mix young players from the lower leagues with cheap technically gifted players from the continent.

I'd agree with that, but still feel we need to add a couple established, quality players in the central areas of the team.  Hopefully the foundations Lambert is putting place with the likes of Lowton means that we will only need to make one or two additions in future transfer windows and will be able to afford to bring in more expensive players.

I like this too, but it would be a bit of a surprise if they all came off, certainly in year 1. I think we're very exposed if karim doesn't come off; and pretty exposed if the full back signings don't. We have more alternatives to Holman if that doesn't work
