And Stephen Ireland could be their mad Irish cousin.

It's certainly an unusual family tree.

if you go back to page 1 on this thread and see where we are now, my god it is like coming out of a coma

Weren't we linked with Karl Henri before TSM fecked off?

Mine too. I dread to think what sort of dross McLeish would have bought in. In fairness, Holman looks like he'll be decent, but then again we probably have Numan's scouting to thank for that, where-as McLeish's eyes would largely have been cast on domestic plodders like Henry. Technical ability and flair wouldn't be high up in TSM's agenda.

Creswell has scored 7 goals in 4yrs. I wonder if its Heskey trying to come back after a body transformation in a Dutch surgery :-))

McLeish was only interested in those canny players who could nick a 2-0 defeat from the jaws of a 3-0 defeat.

It pains me to think how Eck would've  utilized Holman, but regardless.. we're passed that.

Some Twitter mumbo jumbo today that we've inquired about Bendtner.. can't imagine it's true.

Dunno about that.  So far in his career Lambert has liked a big target man so Bendtner might fit the bill.

We could do far worse.

(Although we could probably do a bit better)

Wouldn't want Bendtner - seems to be someone who plays for himself and not the team to me!

Although the link with Grant Holt was lazy press speculation, he's admitted he'd be interested in Carroll and we also had the Luke De Jong story from earlier in the summer, so it may well be true he wants a big striker option.

I dont think Warnock is limited on the ball, one of the best defenders we have for passing and crossing.  Its the defending he struggles at, losing players and then having to make last ditch tackles

Which is why he's best in midfield

Or even better, someone else's midfield.

I definitely wouldn't say he's crap. He's good in a controlled, neat passing offense but struggles with the counter attack. He can hold up the ball well and a forward that can use his head (as a threat in the air) could be a big plus for us. I'm sure he'd want pretty ridiculous wages which would be the major drawback. Isn't he technically still an Arsenal player, is he training with them?

Bentner has had long enough in the prem to prove himself. He's average at best imo. He thinks he is Jack the biscuit, but he's too Heskey like for me.
