I think this USA tour will have done some players a favour, and some not.
But, it will have been very useful for the gaffer.

Would think he has used it as an opportunity to confirm his thoughts about one or two and have a look at those he wasn't sure about and hadn't seen play before.  I think after the trip he will be in a position where he knows exactly what changes he wants to make and I'm sure we will see movement on that front when they arrive back.  I would be surprised if most of our business is not done before the season starts.

Bertie pretty much said he likes to get his business done early, so I expect a bit of a flurry of activity between the return from America and the first PL game.

When do we get back from the tour?

I assume straight after the game so Thursday. Then they'll get the rest of the week off to recover and kick off again on Monday. It's a bloody long flight though. I don't know if they can get direct from Portland so they could stop in New York on the way through. Either way it will be almost a 20 hour journey with airport stops etc.

Rumors thats a fee for Snodgrass has been accepted, not necessarily Villa but we're the biggest dogs in for him.
Are we in for him though!? If a bid has been accepted then it will be from Norwich I feel

I think Norwich is more his level. He's got ability but I would guess Bertie is looking for better. Snodgrass probably doesn't have the pace and stamina to be a top 6-8 standard player. We need players who are, or could potentially be that. He needs to get his head up more too and I think at this level he'd need a lot more awareness.

It certainly looks as if Norwick is the likely suitor however its only a 2mil fee.. Surely we could use a player like him on the wing with Marc out for the next 3 months?

From what I've seen the players who will have enhanced their reputations on tour include: Clark, ireland, bannan, el ahmadi, holman and gabby. Delph has done ok too as has baker and to an extent lowton and lichaj

Others have been more meh: bent, Weimann, Gardner, warnock, the keepers

Herd, collins, dunne, nzogbia haven't been great. Herd iparticular was atrocious when ive seen him apart from omen excellent cross.

On the basis of performances, I think he may want to focus on our cutting edge with a big striker, possibly a defensive midfielder and a centre back.

We're after Cresswell? Seems like a Lambert type of signing.

I realise this may come back to bite me, (and hopefully it does), but does it not seem Lambert's transfer targets are the same as they would have been had he stayed at Norwich? Young, decent lower-league players and foreign players proven at a level below the Premier League all available for a couple of million a pop...I know we haven't got big bucks to spend but I would have thought there might be a couple of proven "name" signings.

I am excited about the unknown , besides Nzog was a big name last year who had a pretty poor season
