Never has one full back been caught out on such a consistent basis by a simple, high, diagonal ball. He is wankety wank.

I'm glad to see the back of Warnock and Collins. Whether or not they have good pre-seasons or not, I just don't trust them at the back anymore. Collins just gets murdered by every half decent front man he comes against. Both give aways a ludricrous amount of freekicks in dangerous areas, not to mention the worry of giving away pens too. Dunne and Hutton are similarly woeful these days so at some point hopefully, they'll go.

I'd guess the Vlaar thing is just about the fee. Feyenoord probably think we're more well off than we are and want to get top dollar. Bear in mind also, we've already taken one of their best players, so going back to them again for another, is always going to be tough. They'll want a decent fee. Hopefully we'll get it sorted though, even if we pay a little over the odds.

Good stuff though. Wake up this morning, grab the paper and we've got rid of some dead wood (well, hopefully) and we've made it 3 wins out of 3 in pre-season.
Sky sports confirms that they have signed for Old Pube Head !

My only tinge of concern is that of the four players most of us wanted gone: Dunne; Collins; Hutton and Warnock, it is the two that we were least desperate to move on that seem to be on their way.

How have they done that then considering ten hours ago they were playing for us in Chicago?

More chopsing from Koeman:

""They know what Ron costs, and yet a week later there has still been no contact," Koeman told Eredivisie Live.

"He is quite annoyed because he wants clarity. For him this is a good step, but it is taking a long time.

"It should be decided around this weekend or else he remains at Feyenoord. But I am assuming that he will leave.""

Collins is a liability & of the four is the one I'd most like to shift.  For all his effort and bravery he is the main reason our defense has been so poor. He's even been dropped from the Wales squad.

The way both behaved under Houllier; Collins off-field conduct again last season; the dreadful form last season. I'm delighted we've managed to find a mug not only to take them off the wage bill, but give Lambert some more transfer kitty. Great news.

It was probably on the bit on SSN where they just read out what's in the papers.

People at work fall for it everyday. Me - that's just paper talk. Them - 'no, it's on Sky Sports as well'.

Yeah, the bit where they read out what's in the paper. Most annoying.

The trouble is with Warnock is that he's had so many chances, that I cannot really believe that he'll be a consistently good Premier League player again.  If we don't sell him, I think we'll all still be moaning about him in 9 months time.
