I'm having a cup of tea, listening to TMS and doing the absolute minimum.
It's been a tough week though, no guilt here.

Slow day today....

Innit.

I've got shit loads of work done.

I've done plenty of work too, my boss is wondering what I've been doing for the past 4 years.

I've done the square root of piss all.
I've done 100% more than what I usually do.... nothing....

It's actually really busy here and people are running around me stressing like mad.  I'm working to such tight deadlines I have no time for anything at all other than work.

Nothing at all.

Not one thing.

All work for me.

Working my knuckles to the bone.

I work in education supporting schools all over europe, most countries have finished and the ones that haven't are playing games and finger painting, it's very very quiet.  Glad the cricket started today.

I just wonder if finally PL will be the one to unlock the massive potential in the likes of Bannan and Gardener. Both have had intermitant starts to their careers not helped by the numpty last year playing them everywhere but their right positions.

Talk of ball players like Adam / Huddlestone et al - we have one evern better in Bannan under our noses - he just needs the right coach and the right formation to really settle into our team

Agree totally, add Delph to that and Dan Johnson is looking good as well, we have lots of options who 'could' form a great midfield, signing decent players like adam and huddlestone just seems silly to me, we need to see if we can get value out of the potential we have first.

I could'nt agree more. I think Bannan could be a top top player if he was given a bit more freedom in the middle of the pitch. Watching him being stuck out wide in the last ten minutes of games last season was annoying.

Yeah, other areas of the team are of more importance than signing someone like Adams, especially as we have potential solutions already at the club.

You get a feeling with Bannan, that'll be this season,or it won't happen at all.

The key word in there for me is 'could'.  We have been saying that for a couple of seasons now and some of the younger players haven't really kicked on.  I would much prefer to have another experienced central midfielder brought in (Huddlestone and Adam would both be good options in my opinion) and then put the onus on the likes of Bannan and Delph to take their chance when the opportunity arises.

I would rather give Bannan/Delph/Gardner etc a run in the team to see if we could unlock their great potential rather than play a steady eddy type like Herd

Gardner is the one for me. He needs to play. Got a feeling he will score a few goals from the middle of the park.

A good footballer can play anywhere. Bannan's biggest problem has been his attitude, especially since he grabbed the headlines for his appearances for Scotland. Having a school boy hero and fellow Glaswegian as his boss will hopefully wake him up and start getting focused on becoming the player we all want him to be.
