I'd take a gamble on Berbatov, if it wasn't going to cost a fortune. I see what you are saying about him maybe wanting one more big pay day, but, he is quality, so I would definitely be interested.

At his age, you rarely see a player leave united and be any good. It is a mixed feelings one for me. Would I like to see an in form Berbatov in a Villa shirt - without a doubt. Would it get people through the door - yes. Would he ever hit that form though? Questionable. It would be one where you have to trust the manager to back himself to get it out of the player, but for 5m I can see Wenger fancying filling a RVP sized hole on a 2 year deal.

Berbatov represents everything our foward line lacks. I know nothing about his desire for "one last pay day" so I'm not going to speculate on it. But he's exactly the type of player we need.

If we could find a younger version, great. That would be ideal. But if he is available relatively cheaply I say get in there and ask the question.

Depends on the player. See Benayoun last summer - or Campbell when he was short at the back. He will take an older player, but not on 3 year deals.

We should try and get Sturridge or Lukaku on loan.

You can't loan players the same window you bought them to another Premier League team, can you? Otherwise Marin might be worth a shout. Chelsea are completely overstocked in the forward areas now and are they going to have to shift some.

We should do everything we can to get Sturridge.  Great player and would work well with Bent IMO.
