Must have been a good lasagne.

With chips, green salad and lots of ketchup. I was helpless as a python who's swallowed a rugby ball

I said somewhere else in reference to the interview Woodcock had with him on thr first day back in training that Lambe just appeared all business. It filled me with even more confidence in him than I had to begin with. Now, we have to temper that because of the incredible contrast between him and TSM and the hope it gives all of us. But right now, I'm not only delighted how everything has gone since the last game of the season but really calm about everything he is about to do. I just hope once pre-season starts and we lose our first game people done freak out and realise it is all part of a process.

Completely agree.

Yacine Brahimi (Arabic: ياسين إبراهيمي‎; born 8 February 1990) is a French football player who currently plays for English Club Aston Villa in the barclays premier League. He plays as an attacking midfielder and a winger and is described as a "technically gifted player". His coach, Frédéric Antonetti, has declared that Brahimi will be the "future play-maker of Stade Rennais".[1] Brahimi completed a move to Aston Villa on 9th July 2012 subject to a medical.

I might edit it back

Edit it to say he has joined for free, maybe Rennes will be fooled by it and give him us without charge.

Josh Webb is very promising at right back (he can also play centre half). But Enda aside, Derrick Williams is the best young left back I can think of at the youth level and he's essentially a centre half who can play left back.

I'd definitely be looking at bringing in a senior left back and a youngster too. If the move for Bertrand is true then Lambert thinks along those lines.

Josh Webb was the one I was thinking of for right back but I thought there was a young Irish lad doing well at left back (not Williams as I understood he was a centre back and not Stevens). Maybe it was my imagination.

England Under 19's have a left back called Robinson. Is he one of ours? Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me but I thought we had Webb at right back and Robinson at left back.

That guy is a fantasist and knows absolutely fuck all.
But I hope by some strange coincidence he is right, but I would not expect it.

Snodgrass is a clever player. Could be a cross between Milner and Downing for us. It would be a risk because it's debatable whether or not he's Prem quality. He's got excellent balance and can dribble but I just think he won't pull off quite as many nutmegs and turns on prem defenders. Needs to get his head up more too. That said, his technical ability is Prem level. I'd probably prefer Whittingham though given the choice.

So Brahimi, Whittingham and Snodgrass have all had rumours in recent weeks and been apparently nailed on with ITK's. I know that's typical of any transfer window but I thought Whitts might actually happen. Might still, but I doubt it.

My mate at Leeds Uni raves about Snodgrass & he's the most miserable harshest football critic I know
So in a sense, I'd be happy if we got him.

I'd take a decent cross and intelligent play over running into a blind alley any day of the week.
