REJOICE! REJOICE!

I know it is only the Mirror, but the mere thought this might be true fills my heart with unbridled joy. He's one of the most witless, hopeless players we've had in a long, long time.

Push the Hutton: New Villa boss Lambert wants rid of their right-back

The Scotland defender is told to find a new club as manager plots a move for Tottenham starlet who played for him on loan at Norwich last season

New Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is set to start his shake-up by axing Alan Hutton.

Villa's Scottish right-back Hutton became a target for their terrace boo-boys last term after a £3million summer switch from Tottenham.

The Scot became a scapegoat as Villa struggled for wins and goals under compatriot and unpopular boss Alex McLeish.

Brought in to replace reliable defender Luke Young, who joined QPR, Hutton notched seven yellows and a red while failing to win over the supporters.

Now fellow Scot Lambert, aiming to revive Villa after they came 16th last term, has told Hutton's agent to find him another club.

Ex-Norwich boss Lambert wants to replace him with Spurs' Kyle Naughton, who he had on loan at Carrow Road last season.

Although Nursey needs to learn the meaning of the word 'scapegoat'.

Would be fantastic.  For me Hutton is the first player I'd love to see leave.  Without doubt the worse RB I've ever seen at Villa Park.

He also needs to realise that there are no terraces...

Been told we are lining up deals for two Chelsea players. One being Lukaku on loan, no name for the other one yet.

Lukaku on loan could be for a couple of seasons the way they are looking to go with Hulk and Torres coming back to form, and only playing 1 up anyway. Certainly not against it at all.

Would love one to be Sturridge, but that is highly unlikely. What about the LB Bertrand on loan?

Been told?

By? Presumably Lukaku's agent or by Di Matteo?

I'd like to see Zlatan Ibrahimovic make an appearance in the PL...would be a great signing for any club challenging for European places and would suit the PL completely as a target man with skill and a shot. Extremely unlikely to ever sign for us given his expensive moves to Barcelona, Milan and his ridiculous wage demands but he would be awesome in the PL.

Would be very happy if Lambert does sell Hutton as he makes DeLa Cruz look like Paolo Maldini....

I don't often get narked by what nonsense the papers write, but this was just plain blood-boiling. Pah.
