I'd be happy for Given to leave the club.  High wages and 36 years old.  I think we can get a decent keeper for better wages and younger. Players like Hoilet, Moses, Diame, Pogrebnyak all available on frees.
Hoilett wouldn't be free. Moses wouldn't be even he was out of contract (which he's not). And Diame is rubbish.

Other than that...

Thanks for that Dave.  Didn't realise that you are an agent!!  Moses not free this summer? Thought he was. Oh well, my mistake. Hoilet free, technically, compo of around five mill? Would you care to comment on Pobregynak?  Diame tore a hole in Norwich at Carrow road, hopefully, if he's a shit as you suggest, Lambert won't be fooled.

Can I ask you what you think of N'Zonzi from Blackburn?

They were talking about him on Talkshite this morning, going to West Ham according to them.  I don't think he's the type of player they'd normally go for, saying around the five mill mark.  As for Villa, we need a left back, centre back and a centre midfielder for starters.

NZonzi is really pants, Diame has never impressed me. Moses looks ok. Pogrebnyak is very good, I'd like him, but I feel Hoillett will get much better offers than from us, sadly.

And he missed two or three sitters that could have proved costly. He was dropped not long after that.

I'd love to sign Pogrebnyak. But then I've been keen on us signing him since about 2008.

He must have been very impressive to have 'torn a hole' in them during his five minute substitute appearance at the end of the match. I'd hope Lambert would think "fucking hell, if he can't even get into Wigan's mediocre midfield there's no way I'm going to waste time and money bringing him to any club I ever manage".

And N'Zonzi is utterly pointless. Just because a central midfielder is big doesn't make them good.

It makes them highly likely to sign for Sam "I'll just keep buying big fucking lumps" Allardyce though.

Pobegynak is probably a better bet than Holt, slightly younger, slightly better and a lot cheaper.

Holt has however tweeted that he and Lambert have not fallen out and nothing could be further from the truth.

No thanks to Holt. I thought read somewhere (probably on here) that he put in a transfer request at Norwich 'cos he fell out with Lambert?

Holt to Villa... just a very, very obvious link to make, especially as he put in a transfer request recently.

As someone else pointed out, remember all the links to Birmingham players last summer... how many did we end up with?

Nope he had a good season and if he was in his early to mid twenties then yeah maybe. However he's approaching 32, would cost a decent fee and is not someone who's looked after his fitness. He is definitely one to avoid.
