I'd be concerned if we laid out a transfer fee for players now, as it'd be an indication our leaders had gone utterly fucking bonkers and opted to keep this doomish merchant of dire football in their employ.

Imagine what it is going to be like at the ground, on here, in the community if he is still here.

Linked with Simpson, Guthrie and Best again tonight. Appears our scouts have spent the season "abroad" this season.

Did you know Frimpong is married to a woman called Ting Tong? They had a ding dong as she wanted a sing song but he wanted to play ping pong. Which is just wrong. They should have settled for Mahjong before watching King Kong.

I am going to blame the effect McLeish is having on you for the above!

It's probably for the best.

I wonder what they'd say if one of them farted under the duvet?

List of Bosman signings: http://astonvilla-views.com/2012/03/02/list-of-summer-2012-bosmans-avfc/

I'd be interested in: Figueroa, Diame, Klasnic, Pander,

Anyone else see the League One Play Off today between Huddersfield and MK Dons?  I know a lot has been said about Jordan Rhodes this season and having seen him today and on other occasions, I think he looks a very similar player to Darren Bent.  His build up play doesn't look that great, but he came alive anytime he was in the box and scored a good header.  If we can play with a system that provides service in the box to Bent, Rhodes might not be a bad understudy and he is still only young.

I know people will say that he is only playing at League One level, but I couldn't see the likes of the Fonz scoring 38 goals in a season at that level.

I'd take Simpson over Hutton but meh to the rest.

It seems Olof Mellberg is available on a free from Olympiakos - I know he is 34 and a centre back (and the old adage is 'never go back') but I'd definitely take him over Alan Hutton.

Signing Mellberg could be a clever move, for 1 in would please the fans and 2 he is still better than most of our defence.

Watch olympiakos Twice this season in Europe and he still looked capable.

Mellberg on a free coming back to be captain would be great.

If I were him I wouldn't come back, why sour his reputation by coming back to this shitstorm?

Think Mellberg's time has gone, unless we bring him back as  a defensive coach and even then i'm struggling to see how he'd improve, Hutton, Dunne etc..

We'd be better off with Paul Daniels.

Newcastle after France's first choice right back while we're supposedly after Simpson. Bet we both pay a similar price.
