Karl Henry would be diving into a new low for Villa. If that is the best his scouts can come up with, for a reputed 3 million quid, then I am simply lost for words. NZonzi at Blackburn I could understand.

Lukaku looks a long way off being a premier league standard player, and I would not want to spend a season getting him there for Chelsea.

Merely suggesting signing Karl Henry should be enough to get you fired.

What about Giovanni Dos Santos. He can't get in to the Spurs team but he could certainly improve ours. He's a creative player that can play anywhere up top. He always plays incredibly well for Mexico. He could be a poorman's silva or mata.

After the Jenas and Hutton favor we did them, the least they could do is offload someone decent to us.

Why would rumours of signing anyone make any sense? Let alone a duffer like Henry. The new manager may have entirely different views so it makes no difference who the media invent about who McLeish is interested in. He won't be here.

I would'nt pay much attention to the Henry story, there's no direct quotes and its just newspaper bollocks.

The relegation king scouting the captain of the worst team in the prem. They were meant for each other.

I would think too much of it.

I've still not given up on Delph, I think he has the potential to be a cracking player with the right guidance and a rocket up his arse. If i recall he only recently signed a new long term contract.

He's not been able to put a run of games together since he has been at the club.  He has shown his potential in flashes, but seems topick up injuries very easily.  He needs a run of games whether it be at Villa or on loan before a decision should be made.

My response exactly - does this mean the new manager will be McCarthy?   ;D

I'd discount the Henry story more easily if it was in the mirror. Guardian not usually too bad for speculation tho by no means bollocks-free

We've got that Aussie fella coming from Holland as well, I'd forgot about him.

Perhaps McLeish is trying to speed up his payoff by targeting the most ridiculously shit players until someone finally sacks him.
